Editing your profile page

Navigate to your profile page. Click on the link Edit setting on the User details column. 

Do not change your name. If your name changes (due to getting married, for example), notify the student services and they will make the change in the student administration system. Your basic info is updated from the system regularly. 

1. You may change the default email. Note, however, that you will need to verify the new email address by logging into the email account which you just added. Unless you verify the change, you won't be able to save the profile changes. 

Also make sure that you regularly check the email which you added into your profile. Moodle sends important alerts as well as forum post subscriptions into the email address saved into your profile info. 

2. You can decide whether or not you allow any Diak Moodle users to see your email address. If set to Hide, only Moodle administrators and teachers may see the address. 

Add your current city of residence as well as your country and the time zone accordingly. 

Scroll down a bit to add your image. Adding an image is important, because your profile picture is visible whenever you submit an assignment or make a forum post. It helps other users to identify who they are studying with. 

1. You may browse your device's files by clicking the icon New Picture. This icon opens up the File picker pop up window. 

2. Images can be brought with simple drag & drop from a memory stick or computer file. 

3. You may write a description for the image, if needed.

Remember to press Update profile whenever changes are made.

Additional names - It is not necessary to fill these in. They are not visible to basic users in Moodle. 

Interests - You may add your interests as tags, for example "sports".

Optional - Phone number, www-pages and social media sites info are optional. Fill this information if you like.
